The Life Centre is a downtown mission in Guelph, Ontario.

Our goal is to provide a safe and loving environment for anyone who is in need.

Each week we provide up to 600 meals, and a variety of programs at no charge.

Sitting across the table from someone is a great way to build community, so meals are very important to us. They create the connection point for us to build on our three values:  Relationship, Justice and Beauty
Meals are 7 pm Monday - Thursday
10 - 1 pm Friday and 6 pm Saturday
Many local churches, businesses and individuals partner with the Life Centre to make its programs possible.  Some donate funds, others food and others volunteer their time and energy. Each one of these partners is essential to the day to day operations and care given to our guests.

Each week, approx 70 volunteers prepare and serve food, clean the kitchen, wash dishes, serve coffee, play euchre, ping pong, teach art, play music and build community with our guests and each other.

THE KITCHEN NEWS:
Our industrial range, built in 1951, has been decommissioned. See the CTV Story and read  this article by Chris Seto in the Mercury-Tribune about the community impact. This story is still unfolding as we learn more about what is needed to bring our facility up to date to better serve all of our community...

Our values

Relationships

Justice

Beauty

We believe in intentionally building, fostering and deepening our relationships with God, our guests, the local church and the greater community.  We strive to love God and love others in all aspects of the Life Center happenings.  Relationships help to transform lives.
We strive towards the Biblical principal of justice, meaning  'right relationship'.  Despite life choices, all are treated with unconditional love.
We call on God's direction on how to stand with the marginalized, and remove the yoke of injustice.
Seeking to see through the eyes of God, we acknowledge beauty in brokenness and strive to be creative in our love.
